Born in Torino in 1977, Marco Lavazza graduated in 2001 from the Business Management School.

In May 2002 he joined the company as a member of the Board of Directors, in which he serves together with the other representatives of the Lavazza family. He then spent a number of years gaining an in-depth knowledge of the company: after initially gaining experience in a managerial capacity, Marco then undertook a detailed study of the dynamics of production, before finally devoting his energies to the commercial area, in both the “Home” and “Away from Home” sectors.

In 2006, he took responsibility for the company’s international development as Development and Acquisitions Manager; he held this position until June 2011, when he became Vice-Chairman of Luigi Lavazza S.p.A.

A Member of the General Board of Confindustria (General Confederation of Italian Industry), he is also Chairman of Unione Italiana Food (Italian Association of Food Industries) and Vice-Chairman of Unione Industriale di Torino (Employers’ Association of Turin).

He is also a member of “RABOBANK European Food and Agribusiness” Advisory Board
